UNTANGLE AFRICA'S CHAINS, PLAYING MY PART.
The chains were painted in gold we do not want to stain it with our touches
Listen to these monomaniacs preaching the honor in being tied in gold.
"What do I give for a better life" I asked
"Your voice" it said,
Unlike every one else my voice traded will end in agony.
You want to live, laugh and love, then you don't deserve a sit at this table,
I hear a voice behind me and I don't run.
Now that I have my voice, is it really enough?
Look at the land that plants it's people in the soil knowing they are not seed,
The rays of anger should shine bright if patriot is your name.
Were we ever even named? Perhaps not!
Pride seized the cry from my throat throwing it's key up north
Passion sharpened my voice well enough to be double edged.
Warring against the system who feeds it's people to wolves
With what do I war?
My voice, the only thing not yet forcefully taken.
How do I appease the numerous drones watching my every move
Or tiptoe around the mines praying I make the wrong move
Aren't I just another hypocrite pretending to be better?
At the end may all living things be happy, but before then let's go back to our unhappiness and feast when we get there.
