UNTANGLE AFRICA'S CHAINS, PLAYING MY PART.
In very twisted threads of history's weave,
Lies a continent and its body, soul and mind to retrieve,
Shackled by strong chains of colonial might,
Africa's heartbeat, dimmed in endless night.
But I, also a thread, a loud voice, a cry,
Will work tirelessly to loosen, to set the sky,
Free from the burdens and weights that bind and oppress,
And let the undiluted beauty of Africa express.
With every word I mutter, a definite link breaks free,
And for any story told, a truth is revealed for all to see,
The resilience, the strength, the pride,
Of a people, long silenced, now alive.
Via Art, through song and through every deed,
I will play my part like an Actor, Africa's chains to heed,
To untangle, to uplift, to set aright,
The vibrant tapestry of a future, bright like the shining light.
Join me, all and sundry, in this noble quest,
Together and unified, let's give Africa's spirit rest,
From the shackles of a crawling present and a painful past,
Into a future very bright, where love and peace will forever last.
I have a single prayer,
And I hope it rises higher,
May our collective voices rise as one,
To untangle Africa's chains, till the work is done.
